Our little graduate!

Karis graduated from Pre-school today... cap, gown, and ceremony to make it complete.
Ms. Tina gave Karis her diploma and a hug.
Ms. Ellen is standing behind Karis.

And yes, they even got to throw their caps!

Karis posed with the rose that Daddy, Mommy, and Baby gave to her.
Next big adventure... kindergarten!

All dressed up!

Okay, so I finally got the computer and the camera to work together. These pictures were taken before Ben and I went to a benefit dinner for senior citizens last night. Karis loves to put her face up against my belly on a daily basis. She is really getting attached to this little one.
Karis is quite the photographer. She wanted us to kiss for a picture. I think she got this idea from watching us during a professional photography session we did a few weeks ago. Whatever the cause, we know it won't last when she becomes a teenager.

One thing about this pregnancy, I'm all up front.

Babies everywhere!

This is a picture of a robin's nest that's hanging above the deck just off the sunroom. These little guys will probably arrive before our little one.
We had a great night Sunday night at a benefit dinner for senior adults. Unfortunately, I have been unsuccessful at transferring the pictures of a 36 week pregnant woman and her hunky hubbie. Our computer has not been the same since it was hit with a virus a few weeks ago. I'll keep trying.

The nursery in progress...

We've worked hard on the nursery this weekend and thought you'd like a peek. The quilt will go on the wall as a decoration since they say you should not use them anyway. We were slowed down by the need to do a 3rd coat on the baseboards. Ben still wants to paint the doors.
Obviously, things look bare since we haven't gotten the laundry done and other things on the walls.

This is a close-up of the dormer window. I think it looks great! It's exciting to see things fall into place with all the hard work.

An Early Mother's Day Gift...

Ben sent an "edible arrangement" to my office today as an early Mother's Day gift. It was a hit at the office and several people commented on his creativity. We enjoyed quite a bit of it this evening as an after dinner snack. Karis loved the chocolate covered strawberries. Our weekend plans consist of painting and arranging the nursery. We are looking forward to getting it done. Pictures to come of the nursery and basement.

A dental milestone...

Karis lost her first tooth this weekend. Thanks to a sewing day (Saturday) I was able to finish her tooth fairy pillow. She's really growing up fast and she looks forward to being the big sister. Week 34 complete!
