The carpet was installed in our basement yesterday. Karis was doing cartwheels and running all over the basement when I got home. This addition of 600 square feet of living space will be a welcome for our family. Life group, relatives, and lots of kids can hang out down there. Ben is psyched to watch Penn State games too!

28+ weeks...
My mom is really wanting to see a "belly picture" and this is as good as it gets. We hit the 28 week mark Sunday. Only 12-14 to go. The midwives are quite nervous about our history of a 10 lb 3 oz. baby. It doesn't seem like such a big deal to us since we have nothing to compare it with. We are meeting with a Doula Friday night in hopes of having her with us during the delivery. It was a wonderful experience with Karis so we thought we'd check into it here. Ben and I are also on Facebook these days and we're really enjoying catching up with old friends.

Work on the basement has started! The plan is to have three rooms painted, carpeted, and ready for visitors by the end of April. Then we will start on the nursery. We've had some help painting. Michelle (pictured) and Peg were here for several hours and very helpful. Michelle is painting the color "Gobi" on the tv room walls.
"Crushed Coral" is the color of the bedroom in the basement. It is a lighter version of the attached bathrooom. Ben is thankful for the help since my health does not allow me to participate in the work.

The National Eagle Center...
Ben and Karis spent several hours today at the National Eagle Center in Wabasha, MN. You could get up close and personal with our National Symbol.
Karis was bored during the presentation but enjoyed seeing the birds.

This picture was taken at Lark Toys, the largest independent toy store in the world, in Kellogg, MN. The Carousel was hand carved on-site and it took 9 years to make.
